Pocket Nappy Inserts

Flushable Nappy Liners

Nappy Boosters - boosters provide additional absorbancy to nappies but in a flexible way as they are seperate and can be placed inside the nappy or between the nappy and the cover. Some nappies however have sewn in boosters which flap out to aid with drying times but are less flexible as they are a part of the nappy. Boosters come in various shapes and sizes and usually are made up of two or three layers of material. Hourglass shaped boosters offer a slightly trimmer option as they are cut slimmer in between the legs. Available in the same range of materials as nappies, boosters are great for heavy wetters and long journeys and highly recommended overnight where your little one will go a longer period of time without a nappy change.

Pocket Nappy Inserts - most pocket nappies have their own specially designed inserts to match the nappy however in most cases and depending on the nappy, other things can be used. Muslin cloths, terry squares, prefolds and boosters are a great and sometimes more economical way to 'stuff' your pocket nappy.

Nappy Liners - pretty much most nappies do not have a liner sewn in. The most commonly used are fleece and paper liners. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Fleece liners are especially recommended for younger babies - they are excellent at wicking moisture away from babies skin to keep them dry however for older babies any solids can be flushed down the loo and tend to 'peel' away easily. For those not comfortable doing this flushable (and hopefully biodegradable :o) paper liners can be used. Much more convenient as they can be flushed down the loo with their contents.
